I Finally Tried my New Glock19!

I finally took my new Glock19 to the gun range. I really like the way it handles. I compared it to my Smith and Wesson SD9VE.  I shot approximately 100 rounds through each one and my groupings were much tighter on the Glock 19 Gen 4.  The trigger felt much lighter than the S&W but once I got used to it, I was on a roll!  I also really like the sites on the Glock. They are really easy to line up.  One thing that I did like better on the Smith & Wesson was the grip. I find the Glock grip a bit rough. Again though, only a minor detail.  After shooting those 2 guns, I tried my Diamond Back DB9.  Uggg.... I do have to practice with that one.  I find don't care for the small size and I do realize it is a self defense gun, not a range gun. Nevertheless, I do need to practice with it more than I have been.  I found I was jamming it a few times due to limp wrist.    Above is a picture of me shooting the Glock19.  Anyway, more to come soon....

I recently picked up my Glock 19 Gen4.  I haven't been able to take it to the range yet  because I have been working or it has been raining.  I go to an outside range and like it there.  There are indoor ranges around but this one is close to home and the staff are nice (without compromising safety).   Before I even found my Glock my husband bought me the iPAC back plate for the slide.  He knew I liked pink.  It began with the pink range  bag and hearing protection.  I thought at first pink might not be taken seriously but with all the Breast Cancer Awareness, and the fact that I shot closer groupings than most of the men at the range...pink became fitting!  Today we put the back plate on my gun and I am looking forward to my next day off so I can try it out!!

My first post!

Welcome to my site. I have always liked shooting targets even as a young kid with my dad. Now, living in a new town I have gotten back into it with my own weapons.  I am having fun and decided to occasionally blog about my activities.
